Most religions (Islam in particular) are now redundant and should be banished from society. Organized religion was the most important step in unifying western culture and the western sense of morality that we have now. Morality is what lets us create and practice law. Law can't exists without morality.

Now that we have a mostly un-corrupt government and police force, a well-oiled education system and high standards of living, morality does not derive from religion anymore. We do not say "don't kill johnny cause the lord says not to", it's "don't kill johnny cause you'll go to jail and big bubba will make you his b!tch".
