I have just fitted extractors (pacemaker 4into1) for my ls1. I not have random idel sped issues, car runs fine, sounds good....but cars seems to not know how to return to base idel speed. Often when pulling up the idel speed drops really low, almost to stalling (hasent yet)

I made my own O2 extension leads, off original plugs.....thought might be a issue, they are abit long. The o2 sensors are abit unknown also. They were not my originals as they seised in the old pipes.

So I have ordered new O2 sensor and proper extension leads. Fuel usage seems normal, around town abit higher (thought that could be me though making it bark abit more by putting the foot down)

Dose my assumption sound correct? Or is a tune needed to fix the issue?

One thing I thought was odd when I first started it up O2 sensors not plugged in, I didnt get a warning light on the dash, system checked ok? Seemed weird

Funny you mention this because when I pull up my idle speed drops below 500rpm and feels like its going to stall, then picks back up and idles fine. I've had a mafless tune and its like that so not sure what it could be.

You shouldn't have to reset the PCM after fitting extractors to the LS1, but it may be worth a shot. Disconnect the battery for 10 seconds, then reconnect and try it.

With the extensions, make sure you didn't cross the wires. The length won't really matter unless you used thinner guage wire.

Also, make sure all the leads are on properly.

would shitty O2 sensors cause the issue? I`m sure the lead are wired up ok, terminals are marked A,B,C,D. I went from vz square plug to the flat style o2 sensor plug. Assumed the o2 sensors were the same

They are the same, just the plug type is different. Unless the sensors are stuffed, then it should make the engine light come on.

Does the light actually work? Does it come on with the ignition on?

When you turn your key on so the dash lights up, the engine light should be lit up as well, this is part of the check to make sure all the globes are working.
