took me 7 hours to get to the supermarket to get food for my daughter. First spent 4rhs digging car out and shovelling the driveway. Then call buddy with plow truck to come and drive in front of me all the way to the supermarket.
Truck only has one seat. Where passenger seat typically is a VERY LARGE dog that doesn't like people. Besides, I needed the car to be free incase anything happened and I needed to get the family outof the house. We have a 3yo.
man...... don't know what to say!!!! Thats hell a lot of snow you got there!!! Did you have to clear the drive way every day when you go out??? did your car start at first turn??? or does a bit of cranking??
yeah..........wow...........snow try driving on it, even with the winter snow tyres, road salt and split, it doesnt help too much.
The subaru starts first pop everytime. So does the Saturn So does my other vehicle which isn't ready to be unleashed yet onto the icy roads. The only time I have trouble starting is when it's around -30 to -40. The coolant is frozen the oil is a thick goo and the battery is frozen. Once you get the hang of driving in it it ain't so bad. Just remember...don't attempt going UP hills and don't try and stop when you are going down. Because you simply won't. On both counts LOL No, I shovel my entire driveway once and then I can literally BUST the car through any snow after that. Although I may also BUST my front grille or headlights.
A video i've found on youtube of my town... Someone stood at an intersection and filmed this one winter a few years ago. http://youtube.com/watch?v=dI9WdTS10C8
trouble in la lot of southern Oz is that it hasn't rained properly for so long that we'll all be drinking our recycled urine soon :whistling
I know, it's a shame because we have an abudance of water here. 2ft of snow is about 4" of rain fall.
Lucky son of a.... We're facing the threat (if no significant rain in six weeks) of all the fruit and veg crops failing in the main growing regions
