Engine runs so smooth, you could sit a glass of water on the intake manifold and it wouldn't come off.

Yeah I know the Feeling as the new coil packs + plugs made my cheap VE do this but at the same time the original coils/plugs was good but dont know how long they where in the car.

Oh. Also found a fix for a knocking noise that I had given up on.

It’s been annoying me for 7 years.

Redid all rear suspension last year (or year before). Noise still there!

Right rear it was.

Only thing that changed was it stopped when we put in the car seat on the right rear instead of centre when kid was a brand new human.

Bugger me, today I found it.
The white plug bit that the rear seat base pushes down into is ever so slightly loose. A little lift and jiggle and there’s the noise!! Seat is firmly in but that slight movement made such a noise. I swore it was suspension because it happened with bumps.

If your VE or VF has a knock related to bumps, check the rear seat base with no load on it.

Good looking Car. I love the front grille on the Calais. My one on the Anniversary looks horrible as I don't like it.
Whats the Condition of your Headlights are they foggy. My ones I buffed them and they are fair but I can see dust on the inside but don't know if I take the complete Light out and if possible take the front lens off to clean it.

Headlights are like new. Not foggy in the slightest. It’s just the low quality photo. It’s also wet. Was pissing rain. The eff’n’ wipers worked beautifully.

The grill is painted gloss black instead of the regular black plastic.

No I'm talking about my VE as My Lights are about 85% good not 99%. Wonder if anyone has taken the front off to clean inside them because I have dust inside which could effect the light beam itself. This car was a country car and has plenty of stone chips thus the dust in the head lights

Get some compressed air through them. Don’t rinse them!
To renovate the head lights, I sanded them in 3 or 4 grades, then two grades of plastic polish. Like new finish.
