Posted a thread on here a few weeks back regarding what I initially thought was just a lifter tick.
After getting it to the shop it turned out to be an obliterated timing chain tensioner.

Knocking noise:

I'll add that in addition to the very noticeable knocking sound, the car made a metallic rattling sound between 1100-1400rpm.

Thanks for the update. Any chance of a second vid showing the improvement?

Was the metallic sound constant?
or was it intermittent?
the reason i ask is I've had the sticky lifter sound for a while now.
but it's intermittent
as in it comes and goes
Comes as much as it goes
50/50 really

They said I was lucky as well haha. They've fitted the new tensioner already. Unsure if it's the one you recommended but here's a picture.
