Hey i have found my chat service and in setting it up, i was wondering what rooms should i have? I was thinking a general chat room then a chat room for each state? I can also turn private rooms on/off. So let me know what i should have and if we should have private rooms. Is a swearing filter needed or can we all be sensible? most people are over the age of 18 i kno but it looks better without swearing thru my chat rooms. I need feed back on all of this. :thumbsup:
Feel free to set this up w/out affiliation to JC unless admin says otherwise but what I can tell you is that it will work well and be somewhat popular for about 4 weeks then it will die in the backside. We have had several chat rooms in the past.

mabey a main chat room, and leave it at that for nwo, see what the demand is for the chat room. i dont know if there will be a big enough fan base to use a state by state service. no harm in trying is there.
I agree, there has been numerous chat rooms set up in the past and for the first couple of weeks it's active as it is a novelty, then it all falls over. I have seen this happen on other forums too, the majority of forum users are content to just post on the forum. C.
Sounds good... A moderate filter should be used tho, ppl will always slip a word, no point risking it...
If you get a bunch of regulars involved and are committed to it theres no reason why it should fail. I had a msn chatroom, there was always people there, had around 800 members and it wasn't unusual to have 20-30ppl there at once. I have no doubt my chatroom would still be going strong if I could be bothered. You just have to be committed to making it work, and it helps if you are online a lot. I don't have the time to waste with this stuff anymore but if you have the time I reckon we have the member base here to get a chatroom kicking.
