I find it humorous that someone who to put it politely is quite a few kilograms overweight herself should be criticising those who are in the same boat. Her deputy is certainly no slim Jim.

Absolutely, and the fact that Gerry Brownlie is basically morbidly obese

Nearly or not, just wondering why treason was even used. Not questioning your post, only wanting to know why you think it's treason. Considering treason is betraying one's country. Acting in support of another nation isn't necessarily treason.

Because China is being aggressive in the Pacific. China is looking to gain an advantage in the Pacific giving them help doing this is counteracting all the work our government is doing to try and prevent China getting a leg up in the Pacific.
If you think China is our mate you've been living under a rock.

Not at all.

It might be counter productive but certainly not approaching treason. So we are trying to prevent China from doing the same thing that we are currently doing with our presence in Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea? Political and enterprise maneuvering is different to military strong holds. China has Tonga over a barrel at the moment because Tonga owes something like $150M to China with bugger all tourist dollars coming in. If McGuire is helping to find a solution, how is that treason?

You might want to check with ICAC about what Maguire* was doing in Tonga as it seems far from helping and more about pocket lining.

Has your Premier even closed the boarders to news too?

McGuire is corrupt, he admitted that, he did what he did for personal gain, that's undisputed, I don't think it can be treason, or "almost" treason. That's all I was saying. If the immigration deals he did allowed questionable Chinese nationals into Tonga, then that's a matter for Tonga, it doesn't put Australia's security at risk.
