Uh, Noooooo. I watched his address. He admitted that both his credit card and driver's license would have been accessible to a number of union staff. WTF? Does anybody on this forum leave their company or private credit card, AND their driver's license, laying around so that anybody can get their hands on them? Goose, first class.
She's one of the fools who backed the Marrickville Council in Sydney banning companies who had any dealings with Israel, because she sympathises with the Palestinian movement. She is typical of the sort of mentality that is driving the Greens. I can't wait to see what sort of support they get at the next Federal election. Bet it doesn't come within coo-ee of the last electoral results.
I dont think i believe any reporters were near his bathroom window, the one thing with liars is you never know what is truth and fiction adn as such everything should be taken as fiction. I have just been issued a business credit card...funnily enough each month I get emailed the statement and each month I must validate EVERY cost on it then sign it off, if a cost is there I did not incur I raise another company form that says the card was fraudently used and must be investigated. I thought this would be standard practice, unless you are an idiot who signs **** blindly...
regarding helmets for cyclists - healthcare is "free" in Australia, which means that the taxpayer pays for it. So, it is reasonable for taxpayers to want to protect the public purse, by requiring cyclists to protect their heads, thus likely reducing their injuries. Victoria & NT have "no-fault" compensation schemes for transport accidents, but it is paid for owners of registered vehicles (as "Compulsory third party insurance"). Injured cyclists can collect out of the fund, but they contribute nothing to it. It's about time that owners of pushbikes had to pay insurance.
In fairness to Craig Thompson, he only spent just over 1% of the spuriously obtained Credit card funds on Prostitutes. I think people sometimes forget that
So on that logic, if I embezzle $1,000,000 but only spend it on 100 different things in 1% lots, it matters less than if someone else embezzles the same amount but spends it on just one thing???? Or if I steal $6,000, I am less a thief than someone who steals $500,000???? Perhaps the issue here is that there is no knowledge of where most of the money went other than the "personal services" items, so that area is getting the most attention.

LNP paves way for Clive Palmer appeal Crime and Court News | goldcoast.com.au | Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and so it begins back to the good old days for Queensland??
While I agree it is not a good look why do you not post the same outrage for the ALP protecting thompson hmm? I mean surely someone rorting low paid users out of 500k is much worse than the govco allowing a $338 fine case to go back to court lol.
The good old days that people refer to might have been filled with corruption, but at least **** got done and the state was dragged several decades forward.
So corruption is OK, so long as it's conservative corruption? My view is that it doesn't matter which side it comes from, it's all bad.
No, nowhere did I say corruption was ok. The reference to the good old days is what I was getting at.
"at least **** got done" sounded like an endorsement; sorry I misinterpreted it (the interwebs are bad for losing nuance and connotation). Another point I read in the paper today on this whole corruption thing was this: WHEN will Tony Abbott write to Premier Ted Baillieu advising him not to accept the 'tainted vote' of the member for Frankston, Geoff Shaw?
so this environmental water tax in VIC? (well its actually an increase from what it was before) apparently for environmental purposes yet they have no plans in place for what they will do with it? i could understand if it actually was for the environment and actually achieved something, but they are doing nothing with it? and what they have been taking previously they have used say 75% (not accurate more a guess from memory fromr eading today, but they didnt use 100% of it) so whats your thoughts on this? im thinking its a bit of a joke. and kinda agreeing with how they are saying its going to be a money grab. im guessing they must be running out of ideas. so carbon tax, water tax. breathing tax be next?
