Warren Buffet... owns BNSF and Bill Gates (the same Microsoft MoFo and prison system; the ones in bed with all Demon-crat Socialist warmongers.)has dibs in Canadian Rail. The good ol' pressie blocked the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to Houston TX because those 2 jokers financed his political campaing and rail most of the oil. The joke around the pipeline is global warming and ecological impact. Seroiusly? An underground pipeline? No.....! is going through rail...

USA politics is all corrupted to no end........

Ricky Muir having a woe is me moment.

Nineteen months ago I was earning a crust as a manual labourer. I spent time in the tanning and timber industries; I have been unemployed, faced redundancies, applied for hundreds of jobs and felt the impact of constant rejection.

At the 2013 election, I had just become unemployed, and picked up some work to keep my head above water until I took my seat.

Now, 19 months into my six-year term, I face the same uncertainty as when I worked on the shop floor of a Gippsland tannery: will I have my job in a few months or not?

The reason is not because of the rising dollar, international competition, or the loss of a certain contract. It is because the Liberals, Nationals, Greens and Senator Nick Xenophon have decided the electoral system, which was changed to suit the major parties in 1984, is now “undemocratic”.

The whole thing reads like a sob story. He speaks of democratic voting etc etc but fails to list how many votes he actually got (0.51% for those playing at home).

These microparty Senators have failed to realise, they are loosing their jobs because for the past 9 years we have been held ransom by self serving idiots that hijack and roadblock legislation for their own gain. They are no longer a house of review, they are a house of bribery. Whats in it for me if I pass or reject your legislation?

I will be happy to see the back of these idiots.

The most absurd thing is that with a pro-motoring candidate actually in government, nothing at all has changed for the motorist. AMEP federally is inept and useless. You have the logbook trial in NSW, but that was a LNP initiative.

At a state level, they could make an impact. But from memory they haven't got in at state level. An issue with AEMP is that their platform is vague, even when it comes to motoring issues.
That being said, given that 90% of the population aren't enthusiasts, even if every single enthusiast voted for the party, they impact wouldn't be great.

As for Donald Trump....he wants to be associated with interesting quotes, apparently. I wish someone would associate him with a baseball bat. Knock that combover right out of the park.

He mentioned something about Fuel Prices the other month, but yeah so has everyone else for the last 10 years.

Does he even still represent the AMEP or did they get in bed with PUP?

He tends to just pop his head up once in a while and then go hide again. Some goes for that Liberal Democrats whacko. He only got voted in because the public are deadset stupid and got the LNP confused to the Lib Dems.

Here is an interesting article. Is based on the USA economy; I think the idea seems to fit Oz as well. The author makes some interesting points. How Donald Trump is riding middle-class anger right into the White House - MarketWatch

I am under the impression that Oz has similar issues with the shrinking middle class and jobs leaving overseas. Of course, like any other US media outlet, is sprinkled with some race coments, just to reminder "US" that we hate each other.

Just Do It Turnbull, pull the trigger, I'm ready to vote

We could get a similar result here (Donald Drumpf type candidate) if the Herald Sun or the Daily Telecrap decided to form a political party and ran their own candidate with policy based on shrill headlines and their online comments in social media.

Nearest equivalent to Drumpf we have here is probably Cory Bernardi.
