We do not want to offend our friends even though Assange is an Australian. He will get no help from the Australian Government and I don't recall Labor saying anything about it either.

Who said anything about sympathy.....it's about what is right and wrong....ethics, integrity....the f- truth and accountability by those in positions of power.
Assange and Snowden risked their lives for justice and truth and morality.
These two men have no where near the resources and $$ to challenge the Whitehouse and the Pentagon, and their military industrial complex in a contemporary way, the Deep State officials/insiders can act with immunity, they are a law unto themselves.
How can you not understand this?

This is a political thread, therefor you will not get any agreement. There are the rusted on Righties and the more progressive lefties, they will NEVER agree on anything.
The Right thinks it's OK to plunder/extort and ridicule all in the name of "Free enterprise". They also think education and health are strictly for the rich and entitled, it's their rite.
The left on the other hand tend to think of everybody with emphasis on humanity.
Never will the Right/Trump/Liberals/Nationals think that anybody should get a break unless it's them. Multinationals or rich folks shouldn't pay tax, that's the burden of the working class.
