LED parkers - so much better than the old candles
SNC00432.jpg

The driving lights came out okay, but it looks a bit ridiculous with the big gaping hole in the base of the bumper. therefore
WANTED: VNSS front lip. willing to pay with australian currency :)

edit: it's now getting onto 258,000 ks :(

i like the look of the spats were did u pick them up?? and were they hard to fit?.. they also stick out abit to sit flush with the trolly stripes dont they? so if i put them on my vn that has no trolly strip it would look out of place

haha yeah, allready got a rear lip, just want a front lip now not fussed about side skirts really. i dont want to make it look to much like an SS, when it doesnt have a v8 in there to back it up.

cheers mate , i made them if you look on old posts u can see the brackets and everything. so yeah if u havnt got trolley strips, it would look rreally out of place

ahh it was a reasonable few day job. making the brackets and filing out the holes to a perfect fit, the wiring is all legit i used the vacant fuse and relay holder in the under-bonnet fuse box to a micro toggle switch on the side of the cluster so i can choose either [on with parkers-off-on with high beams]

last few weeks knuckled down and got a bit of work done that was probably long overdue:
-stuffed inlet manifold, valley and rocker cover gaskets
-new lifters + cleaned everything from the heads up (throttle body, inlet manifold, rockers pushrods etc
-heater hoses and pipes
-cracked low pressure power steering hose replaced
-leaking trans line cut and shortened
-bypassed cracked in-tank trans cooler to external cooler
-lower radiator hose
-heater bypass hose replaced
-plastic heater bungs on both sides on the inlet manf replaced with brass ones
-coolant temp sensor and gauge sender
-trans service
-new oil and filter
-new coolant
-replaced injector buckets
-modified bellmouth
-idler bearing
-ran extra 4g from batt+ to alternator
-new plugs and leads

So we went from

to

the mess along the way...

Always an advantage when u can remove the fan and radiator and suddenly have a bench to sit on
IMG_3860.jpg

What i ended up doing to the bellmouth in an effort to even out the air distribution a tad and lessen restriction. i dont really know if it made a difference it does seem to rev free-er
IMG_3879.jpg

went to the wreckers to get new bolts because most of mine has corroded out so bad there wasnt much thread left - and made a makeshift thread cleaner as i didnt have a right size tap
IMG_3883.jpg

And finished it all on saturday morning- just in time for the JC cruise!

im bloody pleased with how it went that night- not a leak to be seen. so far

So this thing has turned into a mediocre money pit

King Superlows all around
Monroe GT gas / gt sport shocks
Nolathane strut tops
Exhaust tip to go on in the next few days
SS Front lip spoiler to be painted soonish

New brakes all around, slotted fronts, new wheel bearings
QFM HPX pads
Rebuilt all 4 calipers

I still have squeaky brakes despite following the bed in instructions!! This is getting frustrating as hell. any pointers?
