I have this odd noise which comes from the drivers side of the car

im sure its coming from the front of the car, the noise is a jingle kind of noise, if you were to put a few 5 cent pieces or small washers in your hands and shake it about, thats the sound it would make and the jingle noise would usually come if i drive on bumpy and uneven surfaces.

what could this spund by caused by?

Link pin washers can make that sound if a bush has split and come out. Also check the tightness of the top nut on the strut.

i went for a close inspection at the bushes, all of them are intack but the bottom bushes are wonky and irregular shaped, they are not the factory holden ones, they are the blue 'wasp' bushes.

Bounce the car up and down when your outside, that way you will know exactly where the noise is coming from. Mine where so bad that when i kicked the tyres they jingled. All i know is that my bushes where a nice round shape when they got put on, so maybe yours are buggered, but you would expect taking the weight of the car all the time that they would get mashed out of shape *shrugs*
