Hi Guys,
A while ago I put up a thread in the Victorian chapter area (unknowingly posted and earned a warning to suit :)) about the John Bowe driving courses to find out whether any of you have done them and whether it would be worthwhile organising a group to go.

I'm definitely keen on doing the Advanced Driver Training and the Performance Driver Training. It's a full two day course done at Sandown or Winton. It's a little pricey unless the full course is booked for a group and should be able to negotiate 10%+ discount.

What are your thoughts and would anyone be interested?

Absolutely worth doing the advanced driver training. I have done a few advanced courses over the years (not JB) and found them both very well worth it and enjoyable to do. Don't worry too much about the cost mate but if you think JB is too pricey there are other options. Bear in mind that it costs a fair bit to book out a race circuit for just 1 day and that cost has to be recovered.

Everyone should do at least one of these AD coursed but unfortunately too many people think they are just such crash hot drivers - because they passed their licence test mostly driving in urban side streets at 50 kph - and will not spend the money.

(There should also be advanced parking courses for women who cannot park their cars straight in car parks and IQ tests for the larger 4 WD brigade who like to park their mobile monstrosities in the "small car only" nominated spots.)
