Lol. RB20 is far more than most people need if they drive properly. Strong, reliable and revvy. Best sounding of the RBs. Could step it up a notch and throw in an SR for the better weight distribution, they pretty much make the same power.

How'd you do that coil pack conversion though? Got a link?

I worked it out my self lol Just gutted a DFI module, soldered wires to the existing pins that were under the aluminium plate ( sand them first, GM puts a coating on to stop solder sticking ) 1-6, 2-5, 3-4 are paired like so. There is a bit more too it, but if you get stuck PM me.

Yeah the 20 is just a bit of fun, bigger turbo, zorst, more boost, tune. After that its 30DET or nothing. Anyways, I have never played with a turbo car before, so better to wreak this than a 25det, 26dett or a 30det. Got my whole life to build drift missiles :)

Unless you'r doing circuit work, if it was me I would keep with the 20 and basic bolt on's until the setup starts to hold you back (particularly if you're drifting), put a lot of focus into suspension. Generally, the better you can do on lower power the better your driving ability (that's becoming my catchphrase on this site).

Don't know what it's like in NZ, but a lot of Aussie's have the mindset that unless they have bucketloads of power they won't be able to drive well. This in turn makes drivers rely on power to compensate for poor ability and poorly setup cars.

Check out these two videos of this C33 Laurel in Japan. Pretty sure the RB20 is close to bog stock, but he uses his speed and inertia to get a pretty damn long line. He did say he didn't have time to get the suspension up to spec though.

I laugh at any one who thinks the RB20 is anything more then a boat anchor. Horrible horrible engine only used by numpties. Jonah at least is going to run it into the ground knowing it has limitations and for that I applaud you.

Sorry I have a brain and you quite obviously don't. 2 litre 6 cylinder oh yeah definitely a torque machine.

Ha ha honestly mate their cheap fun if in a light car:p

Your dead right though that people hold them in waaaay to higher esteem because they think there just a 2L '26..

Op has the right idea in learning to spin spanners on this rather than kill a neo or similar.

And OP- nice car! Although don't talk of putting an sr20 in it again PLEASE!

Ouch, I've never heard that one before.

I hold it in high regard because it's not a 26. SR 32, can be done well!

Don't quite follow that reasoning? You like it because its NOT the most refined and powerful of the rb family?

As for SR32, nope... I hate sr's personally they sound horrible:p rb>sr everyday of the week..
