Jump back to first when putting the foot down at any speed

So I've put a second hand box in the vs and for some reason its like it wants to go back to first when puttin the foot down and doesn't matter what speed I'm goin any one got any idea what this could be

I put gears in it so I'm doin about 50 ish in first but say I'm jut cruising along at like 80 or so ill plant me foot and it will just act like its slips and revs but if I do that with in reach of it actually goin back to first it won't slip at all just snaps back and goes. I no it seems like its just slipping but it should slip every time not just when its out of reach of first

A shift solenoid on the fritz maybe? Showing any error codes?

I'm gettin one of those data plugs soon so will be able to hook it up and check the error codes soon hopefully

You can check for errors without it.
