Good score tas, love the leather.

Mum and dad had a vr stato on gas that now belongs to my little bro. It went really good on gas with mum driving it like a nana. Has done about 80,000 k's on lpg with nothing major gone wrong (just usual wear and tear). Lpg does save you money but they are slow as fk with gas conversions lol.

Will give you a nice comfy 2 hour commute, enjoy.

yeah the MAT is much the same as the cts (bit more than just a simple open/closed loop mode, the fueling and timing tables rely on it a bit more than just on/off), it's usually covered in carbon and gunk.... same price somewhere about $25-$30 as the cts, think there's a table to measure it in the service manuals

Thank you for buying it Tas, being so cheap and close to home I was nearly tempted to make an offer on it (wallet is happy). Will be good to see how this progresses.

Yep and in five or six years time, you'll go through the same thing with the replacement to the VY..... and you'll love the new car even more and the old Stato will be but a dot in your memory.

False, LPG burns hotter so you should use a colder plug, usually one heat range lower, and reduce the gap by 0.1mm to compensate for the extra voltage needed. Bpr7efs-15 if you're happy to use NGK

In a well maintained and serviced engine the standard plugs work fine.
They should be replaced every 20,000 km's using lpg all the time, keep the plugs and leads up to date and replace at recommended intervals and you shouldn't have a problem... if lpg is running rough and backfiring then 95% of the time it's due to old ignition components if it's regularly serviced and tuned (most people think that because it runs good on petrol it must be something else... lpg is more picky about these components than petrol)
