k&n intake kit

I wanted to get a CAI or intake kit --anyone had these and recommend anything else than ss reductions ?

dont know much about the k and N air intakes, SS Inductions fairly pricy for a small gain.

from what i hear it could do more harm than good, if you want to do it right get a orcai. something with the air sensor will read hot and thus give you a loss of power. i got my ss induction style cai, and i use my radiator cover instead of theres, 1 because it was lighter and 2 cause the original had holes, and the ss style one didn't have it, there is hardly any air under the righ hand side light circulating which means loss of power down low, unless you run another intake pipe fom the front vent and pick up some more cool air.

Probably better off doing 90mm second hole mod to standard airbox,a lot cheaper,and this will be next mod i do,when i find some time to do it.

same here. Had a look at Darrens airbox on his VY one weekend, looks sweet as and would suck in alot of air.

Did the people do the mod discussed earlier in this thread of a 90mm hole in the standard airbox ?

Does it make any difference ?
How did you do it (eg where to drill the hole) ?
