well guys its been an interesting week. In tonights episode of what seems to be my wierd life... Took a lovely girl out to dinner & a movie, we're cruising along rundle street at 6.50pm glare is horrible as hell can barely make out whats in front of us, stop at the lights, i get green but i can still makeout the outlines of pedestrians so i wait till they are all gone... BANG got rear ended by the chick behind me. pulled over checked both cars out... shocked to find my car in surprisingly good shape, seems the tow bar addon i was gonna remove before i went to syd (ended up just taking the two bar attatchment off the end of it) seemed to have saved my cars ass quit literally. Her front had a nice ding.. front number plate bit screwed. hops out is friendly about it, i take some photos check everyones ok, i make sure i have her number plate (we're desperate to get to a movie that starts at 7. She seems pretty adimate we dont go to cops, i got a feeling i go there and they have a look at my car they'l think of something to defect with my car. So yeah both cars seem fine, she insists i take both her phone numbers... just got back had a quick look at the car, little scrape on the tow bar clip in thing, and what appears to be a little scrape on the left side of the rear bumper.. will have a better look tomorrow but came off pretty lucky glad no one was hurt.
Haha, yeah I had a similar situation happen with my old VP Exec, it had a fibreglass Clubby kit on it, and I got rear ended, but the bumper held on because the fibreglass wrapped around the towbar thing and got stuck (it was a flimsy bumper, wasn't installed properly). Stayed like that till I sold it.

Damn it. I was waiting for the bit were the chick that ran into your car was mega hot, and you took them both home and made a sexy time. I'm disappointed Anyone who doesnt want you to go to the cops is a dead hint to go to the cops, could be fake licence/plates, no licence, stolen, drunk, etc. Who knows.
How is this picking up? Well then again, the chick that hit you, you did get her phone number after all. So if the chick ur with now falls through u have a backup.
golden rule my son : when out with a chick, you leave with that chick. even if your just friends u still dont pickup-pick up if your out with a chick. I got the ability to run plates so all i really needed was her number plate, while she was freaking out checked her rego sticker matched it. just got up now going to check my car in daylight. anyway the pickup bit was just a joke but yeah will be giving her a call to check everythings on the up and up, im hoping theres no damage she'd have to pay for i wouldnt want to ruin someones day likethat
Just a little note on reporting it. The law here in Adelaide is if the damage is over a certain amount you have to report it. I think it's $1000 but not 100% sure on the amount. I got that from the cops when I reported clipping someones rear bar once even though their car didn't have a scratch mine was stuffed. They don't check out your car either or at least they never have with me if your worried about getting a defect.
My towbar has saved my cars ass so many times, whether it be someone parking behind me, to even me reverse parking and not knowing how close i am to the fence
the title is kind of an inside joke,i deserved it i got a lot of bad karma coming my wway the pickup joke... well the girls messaged me 6 times since it happened and that was after i told her car seems fine
