    hi everyone!
my vn calias has 2 speakers front and rear.
I just bought a kenwood cd stereo 180W x4 . I would like to keep my current speakers rated at 30Wmax each. are these good enough for the kenwood.
    regards

    hey matey
180w*4 out of a head unit...wat the??? thats a pritty high output, mines only 54w*4...u sure you have the right figure??? Anyways i just changed my back speakers in the VS to 6*9Alpine units which are really responsive and offer much more than the stock speakers. i dont think the stock speakers would handle the new head unit, so it would be wise to get new speakers all round as the quality of the sound will be limited by your speakers. considering the speakers i got on sale were only $140 its a wise investment ;)
    HTH-cheers

    You probably mean 180W altogether divided into 4 channels = 45W x 4

That's more like it. and probably yeah, it should be fine as long as it's not on full bore, then you'll get your usual distorsion
