I have 2 keys that won't turn the door lock. They both will lock/unlock by the buttons and will both start the car. Why won't they turn the barrel in the door? Any ideas? Could it be something stupid like someone has gotten a door barrel off a wreck to plug a hole up.... That's what it seems like.

Had the same prob in my VT SS. Lock seemed siezed. I just squirted some graphite powder into the lock, put the key in, gave it a wiggle and it came good.
Holden don't recomend wd40 or anything like that.

As above they seize due to lack of use as most people unlock the doors remotely.

Takes a lot for them to seize up, But im suspecting someone has replaced the Ignition barrel in the car and has not kept the keys for the doors.

But they do seize, as I have experienced. I was originally gunna take mine out but decided to try some graphite powder.
Better to try a bit of lube first than stuff around pulling the damn thing out and finding all it needed was a bit of lubricating.
Suppose you could use some CRC or similar. But just a little bit.
Use one or the other because the graphite powder will turn to mud.
If it doesn't free up, pull it out.
Just trying to save some mucking around.

Thank you to all of you replied.
It was a seized lock, got some Inox, sprayed it in there also took the door card off, waited half hour and tried it. Now the car will lock/unlock by the door lock and key, although just a little Glitchie on return.

Keep using it and it will continue to free up the more you use it.
