    i am after a new key for my vr and holden want 150 for a new key+program is there any cheaper way of getting a new key

    If your old key still works,you can go to places like mr minit and they can do them cheaper than what you have been quoted from holden.You can even buy new keys on ebay and just get holden to program them,that usually works out cheaper as well,Id be phoning around to a couple of different holden dealers about the price of programming to at least get a couple of different quotes before just accepting one price.Cheers

    Mr Minit does the head only programmed for about $90 - this presumes your old key (the metal bit) is OK, which they usually are.

    Yer the old keys is fine I was kinder after getting a spear cause just in casue somthing happend

    Yeah, mine cost $120 with a new blade. He said that "distributor prices were going up", and that's why they were so expensive.

    theres a place near mine do whole vr key like 70 dollars an comes and programs it to ur car in the parking lot takes him all of 5 mins to cut and program
