is $1500 for ssl front sssl rear, monroe shocks and strut tops with labour too much or about right!??

I'd so say vkhg!!!! You can buy a kit off ebay for roughly $700, most shops charge around $220-$250 to get them installed.

when i went in and asked they verbally quoted me 1550 and i actually LOLed and just said thanks and walked out

ha cheers guys. will source some other quotes!! anyone used the monroe gt sport? are they much different to the monroe gt gas shocks?

haven't used either, but gt sport are stiffer than just the regular gas ones

gtsports are valved to work with the kings coils and being a shorter body shock gives you more travel than the standard gt gas, and has a pretty nice ride as well, not to hard.

I would contact the forum sponsor GSL rally, from what I heard the boge shocks are better.

Just fitted on my ve sv6 Pedders springs sl and shocks on all wheels. The springs are approx 40mm drop but it didnt go that much down. Luckily the rear of the car didn't drop a lot and the rear guards weren't needed to be rolled due to the 20x10's at the back.
