Hey guys
So I have been doing some research and just completely lost and not understanding but I’m looking for springs and not understanding the SL SSL SSSL and that
Wondering if any one could recommend what I should get or what would look good
I have a VE sv6 Ute
I have 20inch rims
Front 8.5 inch width
Back 9.5 inch width

Hopefully some one can help me out

You should go through this post and look at the photos and see what you actually like. There is a ute a few posts up

No one has mentioned FE3 suspension and what springs you’d use to achieve a nice practical ride height? Are SL springs same as FE3? Running a sedan VF SSV Redline

Yes, same spring.

Oh okay so if I want a nice lowered look and level what kings should be recommended? Keeping in mind I have FE3. Bit confused after all this reading. I will change the shocks

It depends on car weight front / rear in the detail because Kings are more progressive to the extent it doesn’t list kg/mm, this may have a huge effect on ride height.
Anyway answer in Kings speak is SL is what you already have, SSL will drop min -10mm an settle up to -40mm.
Worth noting that with stock sports suspension VE has 100mm clearance, VF 106mm. 100mm is the absolute national limit, so SSL sort of borderline of legally lowering (insurance etc).

Thank you so much so if I go some SSL 4 corners it should see me right.
I’m thinking the Monroe GT sport shocks most seem to enjoy them.

Yeah why not! But... price Koni KYB and Bilstein shock only swap.

Thank you,
Price is no issue for quality I’ve tried to find the Bilsteins but it’s a shame they’ve not made it to NZ yet

Being a bit facetious but if price is seriously no issue then I’d go for Teins tuned specifically for our car (extensive tuning through Fulcrums), with EDFC Active Pro and HBS.
Last time I looked was about $5k, but still better value than a fancy catback :)
