    Sold my car :(
My statesman has the engine light on and is reading both knock sensors are bad. I am getting a sluggish start and overall lack of power and jerky feeling while driving. If I press the accelerator hard it jerks. I am also getting little hesitation. The gears are also jerky somtimes. Are these the symptoms of bad knock sensors? Can I clean or service the old ones and put them back?

there not that expensive 2x knock sensors

if ya knock sensors are faulty your ECU will retard the timeing making it sluggish

Do bad knock sensers show a engine light or can they be bad without a light showing?

    Too many to list......
Buy a pair of s/h ones and chuck them in. See if your problem is fixed.

They show the engine light. I have three codes in the computer. Two knock sensor codes for both knock sensors, and one oil pressure sensor. I replaced the oil pressure sensor but did not clean the contacts/plug which is totally covered in oil and dirt. It is still giving code for oil sensor. I will have to clean the plug with electric contact cleaner to make the code go away. I will also change the knock sensor wire along with the sensors. The car is feeling sluggish.
