Hi all new here so take it easy on me if I make a mistake.

Picked this car up on the week end not roadworthy and when I brake at any speed it clunks from the front, my mate knows a little about cars but we are not sure where to start looking.
Help be great thanks in advance.

Could be -

Radial Arm Bush's
Lower Control Arm Bush's
Ball Joints
Damaged Arms
Swap Bar Links
Tower Tops
Axles [Hubs]
Brake Callipers
Brake Pads
Engine mounts

That's a start for you to check.

Could also be strut bearings. Mine made a noise under braking the other day but it also made a knock noise on bumps and turning.

TBH probably the cheapest way out is to book it in for a front end check and spend 30 - 40 bucks and have it properly diagnosed. You could end up chasing your tail and replacing 20 things before you fix it. I booked mine in and i was diagnosed in under 15mins. They didn't charge me but I did go back for the alignment after another garage did the repairs.

Cheers!!

Had a look late today at brakes front and rears all looks OK around 5 or 6mm on pads.
I book it in for a roadie and see the to do list, fingers cross not to big of a list.
Has a oil leak up front below that big pulley thing, cant work out why it would leak there, leaves around a cup size in diameter oil over night on the ground.
Thanks again Pete.

That will be a item of fail,
Best to get hold of some degreaser and a spray bottle,
and go ALL over the motor, especially around the harmonic balancer.

Not uncommon for the crank seal to leak. Around 1hr labor, plus a $25 seal to fix.

Looks like I'm coming down with that Covid-19 so Might have to put it off for 14 days.

Just hit me like a truck, runny nose, blocked ears, head thumping. Looks like a **** night sleep.

So looks like I have some spare time in the coming days to give it a good looking over.

Thanks again. Might do a little reading while I cant sleep might pick up some advise that will help me.

Quick update!
Was able to clean it down this "arvo" and it looks like its coming from behind that belt springy thing and running down, do I need a new head gasket?

I opened up the water cap and its a green color with this like cappuccino froth floating on top / cream looking stuff under the cap.

Any Ideas? That's about me done for the day, ******* COVID.

Do the inlet manifold gasket....Good chance that'd be the source of the leak...
