Im looking for some advice on rebuilding an l67, I’ve always done my own work on all my cars but a complete engine rebuild is something completely new for me, i’ve got the motor on a stand ready to be stripped down so I’m trying to put together a list of everything I’ll need before I start, I’m attaching screenshots of my list so far and wanting to know of absolutely anything else I’ll need to replace throughout the motor? I’ve got a reco’d manual shaft, strong 3.46 LSD, reco’d Getrag and waiting on an exceedy HD clutch kit with sm flywheel, so I want to build as close to a brand new motor as possible, I’m sure there’s more to it than I’ve got so far but I’ve got no idea haha Im getting most things from Mace Engineering but I think I’ll still have to outsource some things, so any advice on specific parts/brands will be helpful as well!

I also want to know if everything I have in this list will work together or if there’s anything I need to change, or add to support everything?

And lastly, if anyone knows where in Victoria to get good quality porting and polishing/machine work done?

Thanks heaps for any help in advance!

There is 2 more important items that you need,

  1. A Service Manual for all the CORRECT torque settings,
  2. Torque Wrench
Because without these, its guess work.

I have a Nephew who did what you are going to do, and I had to assist him a few times
And its not a simple project,
So don't rush it, because its going to cost you more than you think.

Thanks very much for the advice, I am going to get a torque wrench before I start but I had no idea about what yo torque things to so I’ll have a look around for a service manual as I didn’t think of that.
I’m about to get another daily so I’m setting myself a year to do it due to the funds issue, and to make sure I get it all right, is there any other parts I should replace or have I covered everything here?

Hahahaha, don't use Scotty as a guide on how to do things properly, the shows name is Carnage and it's a very literal name because everything he touches ends in carnage and has to be done over and over and over again.
