L98 Best Cam Upgrade?

I have a 2007 SS-V with the L98
Current mods are OTR Twin Air Intake, larger Extractors and dyno tune.

It needs new lifters as well as they tick like crazy.

What Cam would be best for performance and lumpy idle because I want to change the lifters too.

Many factors to consider, main one is whether you have an auto or manual. If you have an auto then be prepared to fork out for a stall converter. If manual then you have less worries overall.

Also need to consider what the car is used for I.e if it’s daily driven in traffic then u don’t want too big of a cam because it will be a pig to drive and chomp thru the fuel

Ok cool. What sort of driving will it see, as vr304 said if you are stuck in traffic a lot etc. that will be a consideration. Have a look at the VCM710 and VCM714. Best really to talk to the shop who will be doing the work though and tell them what you want exactly so they can recommend options.

It is a manual.

Will probably need an upgraded clutch if you don’t already have one, std clutch won’t hold up

I.ve cammed 3 L98 manuals ,231/243 224/244 and 239/247 . If a daily the crane 224/244 was great with nice lope the l98 likes bigger exhaust duration due to large intake valve. Made 315rwkw on a mainline dyno.
