The car changed hands at least once between its road car conversion in the late 1980s and 2008, when its current owner, Stuart Hayes, purchased it.

IIRC correctly the car is in Vic and being restored. Was 'discovered' a few years ago in Aus Muscle Car mag.

In the AMC issue 68, Jul/Aug '13, Aaron Noonan 'found' his 1988 VL (PE 05) which was in the process of being restored.
At the end of the story, he mentions PE 04 (VK ?) is in NSW and is close to the completion of a rebuild …….... "more on this car down the track".
I haven't been able to find any further info in later AMCs, but I may have missed it.
