Anyone else noted average lifespan on late Bridgestone RE050's, just noted on my daily VE ( only a V6) seems like I'm down to half tyre with just 12000kms use these are 245/45R18's off my 16 Jan build VF SS, my last set of RE003's lasted an amazing 43k. I used to get around 35k out of the Re050's but this last set wearing quick, is it the overseas made ones wear quicker than Aust made ones used to?Noted the RE003 made in Japan RE050 made in Thailand.

We got 77000 on our original set of 050a. See how this second set goes.

Everyone drives cars differently. My 16 month old VFII SV6 with factory 245/35x20s has 69,000km on it and will probably get 100,000 out of the OEM RE050As as it's all country driving (100kph, minimal traffic lights on my 100km drive to work daily), plus I rotate them every 15,000km. Yet my E3 HSV gets 15,000 out of the rears on it from the RE050As. Have your driving habits changed?

changed my rears at 8,000 and fronts still had some tread at 15,000....but changed all for new Nitto Invos. I expect to get at least 6,000km out of these.

My driving is the same generally higher speeds but some twisty Adelaide hills roads, I fail to see how you could get 69k out of the tyres, used to travel 150kms a day at ave od 90km/h and got around 40K

, I have three roundabouts in my suburb and then I turn onto Heathcote road which has a couple of sets of lights over the next 20 km, then I turn right onto what is basically a 110kph motorway or 80/100km zone with no lights till I am 5 mins from work. There's very very little stop start and most of the corners are high speed where the tyres are not getting a workout at legal speeds. There's 100km down and then the return journey. I'm not a pussy in a car, it's just this road doesn't challenge the car. I have been able to get 6.5km/100l on this same trip if I do pussy foot the car. I never expected them to last this long either after the HSVs ability to eat tyres. I have 8 x RE050As in the roof waiting to go on this girl.
