C.V's wear out by creating a groove where the roller moves over continuously, you hear it on fwd cars when they turn the front wheels and the rollers come out of the worn spot and you hear the clicking noise.

Personally, I think its probably a Bush problem somewhere in rear somewhere.

First time I did it, I was looking in mirrors for the piece of 8x8 (note not 2x4) I ran over. !! It's that violent . Shall investigate . Thanks

Lovely solid metal clunking sound, on and off, and on the Accelerator, directly under the Driver.
I can not believe anyone would let it get that bad !

Sure its not the handbrake shoe jamming up in the rotor, building up what can possibly build up pressure then go bang as it release's? If your moving then the diff is not building pressure.
