If its the front left it may be leaking from the thermostat housing. They use a rubber seal that may be stuffed, and the water trickling down the face of the manifold.

    front left..??
I guess you are standing in front...looking in
    so
They have a habit of leaking from the hoses there
especially the one that is the 'tap' hose
the heater tap also leaks (the internal seal goes)

check the hoses before lifting the manifold
    also
as mentioned the thermostat also is known for 'dribbling'
    check that too....

    Thanks for your responses.

It is actually leaking from the physical front left, i.e. dipstick side, away from the thermostat.

Looks like between the manifold and the block...there is a tell tale dribble down the front of the block on that side.

Any other suggestions ??...or is it dismantle time ???
