Ahh I too am interested in swapping my level 2 cluster for a level 3 one.

If anyone has any wiring diagrams for the patch loom required I am electrically educated so I can make one myself. If I get my own working I can make them for others too.

I dont know about cost, but you could do the same thing that is being talked about here, except you would have to the the level 3 dash that suits the VN - VP dash, not the VR - VS one.

If you cannot find a Calais/Berlina harness from which to manufacture the required harness, there is a HSV wiring harness with the necessary plugs still available. Cost less than $100.

Having inaccurately high km's on the odo could make it difficult to sell the car later on or reduce its value.

For example, my car has 130,000 ks on it, and I wouldnt want to put a new cluster in that reads 250,000. It'd be harder to get my money worth if I sold the car.

So Dr. Bob can re-calibrate VS level 3 clusters with the correct reading?? I would definitely want this done if I were to upgrade to level 3 cluster.

Yeah you can get people to do it.. you need all the rego papers etc and the old dash to prove the actual km's.

Well i'm sure that works great for you stocky but it may come as a shock to you that there are people other than yourself whose cars still have their original motor and still have low km's, therefore, people might just give a damn about it.

I heard that if you dont get a odometer with pretty much the same k's it screws with the onboard computer? My mate had to get it all reset when upgrading his Calais to a V8, took a cluster out of a VP Stato cost $100 mate reset it for free.
