Anyone know if a vs level 3 dash cluster (like in the calais`) will fit straight into a 97 series II vs executive without any wiring isuues or mods?.

    yet another VS
To get the digital trip computer and odometer to work you need to make some wiring loom mods.
As fas as i know, if you just swap the cluster the speedo, tacho, fuel and temp gauges work but you need the trip computer control (which replaces the speed alert) and some re-wiring to get the digital display to work.
Do a search, there are a few good 'how to' threads

Another issue to watch is that you get a cluster for your engine. It is possible to change a V6 tacho to a V8 or the other way, but it is better to get the right one from the start.

I have done this mod to a previous VS, and was really pleased with it.

Wiring is only needed so that the trip computer will work. Requires cluster, trip copmputer buttons and extra connectors (and wires) to spice the trip computer and trip computer buttons into your wiring. Also requires a single wire accross to the computer to pick up fuel flow info.
