Hey, Vt_Acclm, have you fitted your cluster in yet? Its not that hard, give me a buzz, and can explain it for you, as long as you know how to patch wires into other wires, your 80% there...Im sure an auto elec will want your left nut for that type of work, it will take you a couple of hours to do.....

    Auto Electrician Charges

    Hi,

I know of an auto electrician (but in NSW) who did a conversion at commercial rates. Cost was $216, including GST.

    Hi,

Can't find them in the phone book at the moment. They were in Peachtree, Penrith. I'll drive by tomorrow and confirm that they are still there.

They did the job about 18 months ago. Took about three hours plus a few assorted bits. Cost did not include the cluster, trip computer buttons or wiring loom.

    Cheers.

i am doing the conversion currently, and have found that if i can pull the tape off the looms and wire my old AC wireing into my new berlina harness everything shud work, just a matter of cutting the plug off and wire in the same spot on your new harness

hey i just compleated the conversion last week
took me brother 15 minutes to wire the trip computer in to my old loom,

1st) he traced the wires for the speed alert plug n cut them off but remember where they went.
2nd)he removed the white plug and controll plug from the berlina/calais loom still remember where the wires go.
3rd)he wired the trip wiring into the old loom,
he matched wires by colour code for instace brown with white tracer is illuminum, ect
The only wire that is not run through your loom is a yellow with black tracer, that wire must be run behind the dash to the computer where it is joined to the corresponding wire (same colour), the wire from the computer goes into a plug and stops so just a matter of finding it, cutting it and joining the two,

    good luck
