$60. which again is a bit much - i'm only going to use it once, and they're useless on anything new. there's one on ebay at the moment for $20 (+$7 postage), no bidders, but for some reason i feel dodgy about it. last thing i want to do is buy a timing light that doesn't work properly and makes me set the timing incorrectly..

 

ouch, that's painful! cranking problem not sorted - added proper 4gauge ground, cleaned terminals, connections, no dice... i'm pretty sure it's the starter motor, did a bit of reading and it turns out that engines are harder to crank when it's cold, and it cranks perfectly fine when cold, so it rules out the battery.

 

latest update:

bought some aftermarket lights but unfortunately being a calais the pinstripes didn't match. i bought a spare garnish, painted the pinstripes red, and also painted my new lights. garnish needs a good cut a polish but all in all it came up ok. can't really see the red on the lights because the aftermarket ones aren't dull like normal holden ones

they were about $100 or something, but yeah, i would prefer to have genuine holden ones. the aftermarket ones don't match the garnish.. but what can you do

and she's staying on stockies for a VERY long time! i have the cash to buy some wheels, but only just bought 4 new tyres, don't want to waste them! and they're not very good burnout tyres either - really soft, traction is not an issue at all, so i can't use them for any competitions like that or something. the only way i would change my wheels would be for: a cheap set of vt calais internationals, OR, a set of vp calais rims. they look quite nice, and my tyres should fit too

 

haha it looks so yuck, the last owner painted them black for some reason . might try and scrape it off and then go over it with the silver pen, i like cheap fixes :yeah:

where's that from? or just a general price... i bought my new lights first for $100 or whatever, and then i bought my trim AND second hand lights as well for $30 (aftermarket just like mine). the trim looks really dull, which i was disappointed about. the drivers side light is perfect, but the passengers one is absolutely stuffed. same story happened with my original calais lights too. so now i've got three good drivers side lights and 1 good passenger side one, and 2 garnishes. hahaha

and i know the internationals are the same, but they are sooooooooooo sexy one of the best rims i have ever seen i think... but yeah if definitely snap up a set of 15s if i could get nice looking ones

 

well now i know why the previous owner painted over the badges

looks like the holden one is stuffed, chrome's all peeling off. calais one turned out good though, but i couldn't avoid scratching it taking the paint off. i'll see if ebay has another holden badge, if not i'll silver paint pen it up

 

i don't really know yet, i've never liked spoilers, and vp ss might be classified as one of the worst haha yet somehow i kind of like it? i could just get some rubber grommets though and take it off to see what i think. might do that soon. and give the whole car a cut and polish ^^^ it's really looking shabby like my vn did
