The hunt is still on for a manual VS S-pack V6 stocker, but it will no longer be my first car.

My parents have decided that when they buy their next car (probably a VS V8 for towing etc, or a VT S/C...) I can have the oldest car, a 1989 Lexcen (VN Commodore), which is still in pretty good nick and still has a few years left in her. I have a couple of changes in store (driveline currently stock):

Pacemaker extractors
17x8 (i think) alloys, mainly for wide tyre tread, cuz i ****in hate driving with **** all traction, 17"s because they look ok and tyres don't cost TOO much
VS S/C CAI
V8 TB
Any mods necessary to transform my Lexcen into a true VN :)

If anybody has any suggestions or can outline differences between Lexcen and VN, I'd appreciate them.

Cheers,
Sam.

I'm pretty sure that apart from the Toyota logo and slightly different body kit, the Lexadore is just a standard ol' VN Exec.

MX6 - Turbo .... so flame me
piss off your instrument cluster, steering wheel, possibly seats and doortrim inserts depending on model, front indicators (most lexcens were orange, vn's were clear), boot garnish and the comp plate. and then you'll be getting somewhere ;)

ahh the lexcen .... holden whoring itself out just to get their hands on a ready to build chassis ... lol phunny buggers

Changes to make:

Front Side Indicators
Boot Garnish
Tail lights (or somehow get the brackets off)
Steering wheel horn pad
badge on dash
Toyota mudflaps (if it has them)
Toyota Hub caps (if it has them)

the other difference on a lexcen than VN is the side body mouldings and the bumpers, they usually have 2 strips.

... Lexcen... Ewwwwwwwwwwwww.

There's a lot of topics on simple mods to the VN, I'm pretty sure they apply to the Ewwwy Toyota Airconditioner.

The Lexcen is a fair bit posher than a VN executive and you wont be insurance legal with wheels bigger than 15x7 on a GL Lexcen lets face it, there is no way you will spin a good pair of 225's on a stock on near stock Auto VN : ) so that's big enough

yea i don't like spinning the wheels from lights for a few reasons:
your car can be impounded...
it ****s your tyres after a while...
and the Pirelli P6000's on the VT are ****ing expensive!!

cheers for the info... still chasing 17's tho for the looks :D
