Hi All, I have not been able to find any information about the maximum safe engine speed for this engine. It makes max power at 6700rpm but my tacho does not have any indication of where it red lines. I have not been able to find anything on the net either.
Does anyone know?
Cheers

It's weird, when I floor it it only goes to 6000rpm (I've got the same as you, 2011 Series 2 VE SV6).

@F1Aussie do you mean rev limiter setting or what the engine’s limit is based on piston speed etc?

Okay, so at night with the lights on I can see some red marks that indicates the red line starts at 6000rpm. A bit strange considering it makes its maximum power at 6700rpm.

I’ll see if I can pull up a tunefile for cutout and engine protection, and check the mechanical redline calcs when I’m at a laptop.
I`d like to see that too.
My tune goes over 7000 rpm
