Hi Everyone,

Some of you already know the good news but for those who do not we have had another VF Commodore here in AUS install and tune these cams from the team @ MACE Engineering and we are happy to share the positive results with you.

This particular vehicle started off with ~190rwkw and finished with ~250 by the time the cams had been installed and tuned along with a new OTR style intake

We are all very happy with the results as this is the second car with the same setup and tune performed by SVS Auto & Dyno which just proves that these engines with the cams Supplied by MACE Engineering are truly capable of big gains and exciting driving.

Cheers Dan

Hi Dan

Congratulations on the successful result! The car has a very unique note to it and the power figure speaks for itself.

SVS Auto and Dyno have also been a great help along the way, providing us with feedback where-ever they can. The cams have been in development for a while and public availability has been long over due. Their re-launch couldn't have been done better than what we have been presented with.

Thanks again to all who contributed. If anyone has any questions or concerns regarding any of our products, please don't be afraid to ask

Kind regards
Damian

Good result 250rwkw But the NM Toq is not so good. I have a VE SV6 2012 LFX with 209rwkw but 431 NM Toq with standed cam and few bolt ons and custom tune that does 14.6 1/4 mile. Every one knows that knows a little that Toq wins drags

You have to remember that it comes down to the individual dyno and operator on the day. Every dyno will give you a different reading. Even though your dyno reading might have have the same rwkw with more torque, theres every chance that in the real world he has more torque. The only way to really compare is in a 1/4 mile or on the same dyno on the same day

With the approx 30% increase in power to the wheels what impacts are there on other parts of the drive train ??

Transmission upgrade to accommodate additional forces, diff upgrade, suspension ??

Durability of parts and vehicle longevity, not trying to be negative, just checking overall vehicle health long term ??

As they say " Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall after ou hit it". If cars are same weight higher horsepower will always win regardless of torque.

I cant imagine that there would be any detrimental affects to the drivetrain as the parts are all designed to work with V8's

Except the gearbox. Apparently OP was having issues with the clutch slipping. He hasn't posted in a while so something must've happened.
