Hi guys I'm new here :)

Anyways my mate owns a 05 vy v6 auto commodore. His constantly limiter bashing it showing it off to people even when it's cold and just started it! Ie oil pressure isnt right up :0

What damage will this cause? In the long and short term. He used to own a manual v6 vt spac and always limiter bashed that too. It's horrid.

Cheers guys look forward to your feedback

It means he's fully hectic, but seriously limiter bashing it whilst the engine is not at operating temp will wear out internal components and will damage his engine in the long run.

Why would you care what damage he does to his car?

Get a new mate and toss this clown aside as he clearly is lacking in the brains department.

Your mate sounds like a potato head.

By 'mate' do you actually mean you?

The limiter cuts fuel (well in the vn I know it does not sure on the vy) and when ya lean a car out ya start melting pistons if not the head gasket normally goes first.

Unless he has launch control, tell him he is a tool.

It'll have oil pressure almost immediately. But yeah - it's a pretty fool thing to do. When I hear some car bouncing off the limiter over and over it usually means the driver has no skill or finesse.
