I wouldnt describe a line locker as a clamp. More a vlave than anything. Line lockers are installed between you metal brake line just after your booster. This is so the pressure build up doesnt blow your rubber brake lines. The locker can only be used in 1min intervals as the fuse will blow shortly after. It gets you started but its no substitute for lack of power to spin the treads. The clamp ur hose job is soooo bloody dodgy i would never do it. Sorry clint.

I have heard of people using the electric solenoid for LPG systems spliced into the brake line as a line locker. As these draw stuff all power & are designed to continually run you will have no problems with a fuse blowing.
As has been stated it is highly illegal on a street car & I wouldnt want to be involved in an accident in a car with one fitted.

I wouldn't even put one within 10m of my car.

If you can't do a burnout without one then you don't deserve to be doing burnouts.

Frandy, I am most likely going to get flamed for this, but I am now on my 9th set of rear tires in 12 months, single spinner diff. I've had to change the back brakes.. 2, 3 times? not too expensive..

But when it comes down to it, You shouldn't be doing burnouts. Especially on your L's you hardly know how to take off rather than take off with the brakes planted!! Surely your mates will show you one day

Your doing burnouts. I'd be more worried about your diff, your gearbox and your engine. Not the brakes.

my brother had one on his torana and he put it just after the booster and its a valve that stops the fluid getting through.

and on my uncles drag car he has one coming up through the hole where the gear stick comes through the floor so he can turn it on and off

You might be confusing a Line Locker with an Air Locker in the 4WD.
