link pins

Hi guys, have had a look at my rear link pins and i can not see how a T30 torx socket fits did they change them in early 2007 mine is 2006 looks like the ends are hex key shape is there a socket i can buy to suit this type or just hold with pair of vice grips will be changing rear shocks soon found some usefull pictures on G8 forums although it was pictures of a G8 rear end, maybe export had the T30 torx end any one with info please let me know
