Hi has any one installed Liquid injection or know of any one on their V8, the reports from HSV appear to be if anything the V8 seem to increase in power because of the octane of gas is about 108 -110 and 0-100is on par.

yeah I have the ICOM JTG kit on my SSV and have had no dramas. Have a fairly aggressive tune and an OTR and a cam is going in soon. Averages about 14 litres per hundred combined cycle and down to about 10 on a trip on the highway. LPG is 49.9 here so $5 per 100km, cant beat it. I do 1000k a week so will break even in around 10 months

Well I bit the bullet and got Liquid Injection fitted on my SSV , It is very impressive. it is more responsive, and has picked up 23kw .on petrol averaging 12lts /100 and on LIQUID 12.8lts and that is over 800ks with all sorts of driving must admit giving it the stick most of the time.Probably the best thing is when I fill her up instead of say $80 to fill her up it is only $35 and that makes a big difference, it is not cheap but the benifits are worth it, the system uses the cars ECU so everything runs through the Holden system. pretty smart when Holdens spent millions of dollars on inventing something the LIQUID Injection just plugs into and uses what is already there . BRILLIANT.

The installer that installed my kit was the first in Australia to install the ICOM JTG kit to a FG XR6 Turbo

The Price was $5400 miinus the Gov rrebate of $1750 here in SA may be different in other states . $3650 the rebate goes down to $1500 at the end of July 2010 as they say the more you drive the more you save .I love driving my car and am not going to change over in the near future, and I am going to run it into the ground so that is why i did it and yes it is a lot of money no doubt about that . But I have had my car for about 18 months an I live about 20 km from work, but I did over 45000 km in that tiime , just going for drives, I could of got the vapour gas which is about 500 -600 cheaper, but the liquid injection is the same system as HSV are using and you get power increase over vapour . it took several months of thinking hard on whether to or not to get it done

HSV aren't using the ICOM JTG system. The HSV system switches back to petrol under high load, JTG doesnt. Mine cost $4725 with a 110 litre torpedo tank minus the $1750 rebate, so $2975 and well worth every cent.
