    How does the trip computer calculate the fuel usage? Does it measure the injector timing or tps or use the fuel gauge somehow?

    it uses a calculation based on injection time & flow rate of the injectors

    VX S2 Berlina Wagon with Phreddied bits.
    However it is inaccurate compared to actual fuel used when refilling at the bowser. ie 15 L till empty and you can put 24 L in at the bowser....

    Best comparision is km's/litres X100km's.....= litres used
