Nice rig. I'm more a fan of the box Toranas, but an LJ coupe still does it for me. Only problem i see is the bloody toploader, what a let down...The wheels also aren't really my thing, but overall a nicely put together package.
Yeah dads mates always dishes it to him... he does want to change to a supra 5 or t5 but hes content on just driving it... yeah were planing on a lx build next but just finding a good body with no rust for the right price is hard
I'd put a nice built turbo 350 in it myself, but them i'm not a fan of manuals, obviously your dad is. Each to their own. Yeh, i'm hearing you there mate. Realistically, if it was me looking to build an LH-X, i'd probably hunt down a nice clean UC and convert it to LX (like i've done with my Hatch). They're much easier to find in good nick and people aren't asking an arm and a leg for them. All you need then is a rusted out LH-X as a donor car which aren't that hard to find, or a front and rear cut which come up from time to time. Also, the conversion isn't all that hard if you're handy with a grinder and a welder.
I'm with 383 hatch. Tuff auto would make this mint. What u talking about with the headers also? 8 pieces each side? They are custom 4-1 correct?
Yeah custom 4-1 had to be 8 pieces to get them to fit just a L on both primarys to be joint and flaired( if that makes sense) dad likes manual and its his only manual car so for him its relaxing. Not into racing just crusing so no need for a massive sallie ect plus car came with all the bits for manual
