Hi all,

I believe I have a crack in my exhaust manifold (passenger side ) I'm looking to take it off to replace / repair it.

What's the process to remove the exhaust manifold on the passenger side? Do I have to take off the oil filter housing?

Space looks quite tight there and looks like a mission.

Best options is to remove the completed Exhaust system to give you more room,

The best tool to loosen/remove and replace/tighten the nuts for the Manifolds,
is a swivel head Ratchet, as I can vouch that from experience,

And a Deep socket, sorry I can not remember the exact size, but I think it was a 15mm or 17mm socket.
This was when I had to assisted with replacing my nephews LFX V6 not long ago that seized.

Side Note:
Make sure you replace the Exhaust Gasket.
If you feeling keen, best to replace both at the same time, for what they are worth, saves visiting the same fault again later on.
since the whole exhaust is removed, and the Drivers side is a lot easier,
Do it once, do it properly.

Thanks krusing.

Any comments on the oil filter housing? Does that need to come off or can I get to the nuts / bolts towards the front without removing it.

Oil Filter housing can remain on,
You should be able to get the front bolts easy enough,
But, to remove the replace the manifold,
Best to remove the starter motor, will give you HEAPS of room with out skinning the knuckles.
It will make it a LOT easier to replace.

But , Remember to DISCONNCT the Battery.
