The one you linked is 30mm both ends. The LS1 isn’t big enough on the largest end. I’ll replug a bend into this current one instead.
Although it might still be dead, my mechanic reckons that the link shouldn’t cause any type of overheating?

Why not use two right angle brass barbs?

It would do because you get trapped air and restricted flow. Where that happens, you can bet something goes bad.
