Being a Statesman does that mean no heater tap?

Are we talking LN3 or L36? Both engines are quite a bit different.

LN3 is the GM code for the V6 (3800cc) motor as found on car build plates.

L36 and also LN3 are engine model types for the Buick V6 family. Easy to confuse but different non the less.

It just doesn't look right, it looks different to Commodore L36 Eco that I've seen. Like something is missing? It might be a Stato thing and maybe they don't have heater taps?

Then it seems to be missing along with the hoses that would normally connect to it. Or am I missing something?

Yes it would be, we down under call it ecotec, in the US they called it the L36 but the GM engine code on build plates in LN3.

Someone has probably removed something. It's an old car and clearly it's been messed with. No need to over think it :)

His mate probably disconnected them?
Yeah the whole lot seems to be missing. The way it's bypassed doesn't look like your typical Eco to me?

The original hose into the heater core has been cut and put into where the outflow would originally go back into the engine
