Long range fuel tank breather hose

I am installing a long range fuel tank onto my VL though I am unsure on where the smaller outlet on top of the tank runs to. The larger one connects to the filler neck but the smaller one I am unsure about because unlike the VL tank there is nothing for it to connect to on the filler neck. What should I purchase for this and does it need to connect with anything?

These pics are like the VL tank that I have removed. The long range tank however only has 1 port on the filler neck for the larger breather line but nothing for the smaller line.

Wasn't able to work out the breather hose setup for the filler neck I got with the long range tank. Ended up cutting the filler neck off the VL tank.

Not sure that works as large overflow pipes are different size from vk/l to bigger (?)vn/s...filler neck may fiffer also.

You just chop 30-40mm off late model filler neck for it to fit & I think tap or wedge larger overflow hose to fit between floorpan crevice & chassis rail.

Diagram above is for early tanks although similar in that all small hoses go to breather & nozzle on filler pipe.

VL breather reservoir, what is its purpose?
Discovered the breather lines clamped between tank and frame. Does this affect the engine running.
Current draining tank to repace low pressure fuel pump.
Hope this fixes up my dry fuel lines to engine
