Will an 80 or 90 litre tank from a VN or VQ fit into a VR/VS? I wouldn't imagine there being any PHYSICAL reason why they wouldn't. I wonder if they'd fit a VL model?.... VR & VL big tanks seem hard to source..

    Probably.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe that Holden had been using a 14 gallon tank and a 17.5 gallon tank for many years.

The 14 gallon tank became 63 litres, and then 59 litres when they advised people not to trickle fill.

Likewaise, the 17.5 gallon became 80 litres, and then 73 litres.

With the introduction of the VT, I believe a new tank was installed.

I think that there is a good chance that the 80/73 litre long range tanks from earlier models will fit the VR/VS. I would have a good look at the fitting before going ahead though.

I bought a long range tank for my second car, a VS S2 Executive, but have not got around to fitting it yet. The upmarket cars and V8's are much more likely to have the bigger tanks, so check out wreckers of these cars.
