twin headlight front should bolt straight up with the radiater support. you will need the wireing harness for the lights or you will need to modify the existing one. from memory the wireing harness has a bolt holding it in on the drivers side of the firewall under the brake booster.

you also need the twin light radiator support. its a loot easier and neater to get the right wiring loom. Just got all the bits for this myself.

    sweet... thanks for the info...

yeah i've been hunting around on ebay n wreckers for the parts...

ebay is looking to be the way to go...

Also, since this thread is goin well...

How difficult would it be to wire up a GTS dash??? I can't live without a tacho and i don't want to spend a fortune on a aftermarket one which will get stolen in 3 seconds...

    Cheers!

HAHAHAHA you must not have priced a GTS dash then. You can build a complete autometer dash for what a GTS one is worth. The pick of the lot is the HQ 'fishscale' one, not the ****ty woodgrain ones seen in HJ onwards GTS's.

Pretty much all of the HJ-WB fronts are simple bolt on/off affairs and you can mix and match. You will often need the rad support (also bolts on) and headlight wiring loom etc. Be careful with some of the HJ-WB commercial stuff though as the cowl in front of the windscreen is different (same as QH) and the contour of the bonnet doesn't line up. You will need to either weld in a new cowl (quite easy) or slap a heap of bog on there to make it match.

All the doors are the same from HQ-WB. If you want a WB front, you will need WB guards to match as they are slightly different but will bolt on as a set.

Pretty sure you will find hq are slightly different but bolt up. There is a small bracket thing in the front top corner of the glass.

I dunno, i've seen GTS dashs with gauges for about 300 odd bux at wreckers and ebay...

    A 6 guage autometer set is 600bux...

Yes you are correct, but the door in no way looks out of place on a later model. very few even notice the molding you are talking about, nor does it affect panel fit etc.

If you are talking about the GTS dash from HJ on then they are not woodgrain. Some statesmans and prems had that but not the GTS.

    lo..

I heard the sticky throttle as you came past!!
High Beams can be found in the left hand side of the floor pan, if it's that model I'm thinking, switch is activated by your left foot....
Dash lights should just be a fuse....
    New Rim.....$200+....
Rust, either hide it with a piece of angle, or fix it, but you will be without the car until you do.......

Those Cam Gears sound pretty loud!! could hear you coming for ages!!

I got a Woodgrain GTS dash for $70!!! stupid wrecker didn't know what he had :p
They are fairly easy to put in if you have the wiring harness for it. you have to change some sensors and attach the tacho.
